Manitoba: July 5, 2011
The landscape is slowly changing... more trees and believe it or not, more corners. Still really green and the sun keeps shining. The main change here... lots and lots of dragon flies and they are huge!
More trees and rolling hills.
These round bales have been here for years. We have seen them on previous trips, needless to say, they are disintegrating. (the dirty areas are on the window - dragon flies that did not make it, it gets worse)
Approaching the Winnipeg and the flooding.
The flooding... we were not able to stay at the KOA as it was under water. It is just to the right of the river. They were hoping to be open by June 1st... did not make it.
The water is still really high!
Construction zone... due to the flood.
Campsite at Traveller's east of Winnipeg. We stayed here 2 years ago... at that time is was so wet and muddy the grandkids couldn't go to the playground. This time it is dry and hot! Actually used the air conditioners and Phil went golfing at a nearby golf course.
Pictures of the campsite... lots of campers.
Same as above.
Ditto!
